Kidney issues
As 2023, thanks to the kindess of 7 wonderful donors we have succesfully transplanted 6 men and 1 woman.
Meet some of them…
Luis Miguel and Oscar (+ May 2023) twin brothers. They were 25 when transplanted.
It was 2020 the Pandemia for COVID-19. An special permit was needed to do the surgery, they were ready. Two sisters, moms, wives and wonderful humans donate.
Both came out of surgery succesfully. Unluckily Oscar passed this year. He had lung and heart conditions that make that happen. The donated kidney worked until last minute.
Luis Miguel is doing so well, he works and is studing to become nurse. Every day he uses his mask to protect himself and enjoy his wife and kids.
Luis Miguel celebrates life with his 2 children. He was transplanted 3 years ago.
Keily (pink sweatshirt) after the biopsy of the LKMF program continues her treatment. She is a disciplined patient and enjoys getting better.

Erika, was 31 when the transplant happened, lived with her son and husband at San Juan Cosala.
Her brother donate the kidney for her. Together with the kidney she was diabetic and had eye problems that unable her from seeing. Her sister read her the messages on the phone. She is such a great warrior.
Was transplanted, had surgery for her eyes. She recovered one eye sight and is able to work now. Every day uses medication for her diabetes, and no refusing organ medication.
Efraín is another successful story of a kidney transplant in 2023, and he shares with Luis Miguel the pleasure of the success of his transplant.

An image of effort, affection and solidarity. Her sister donated her kidney to her brother Efrain. Her family taking care of what is necessary for her recovery as well as the Lila K Mexico Foundation.

Luis was on his 25 when transplanted. On dialisis peritoneal every night and worried because his brother had passed becouse of kidney failure.
His father a field worker donate the kidney to him.
Is a great human story: he recovered and follows procedures. Every day he set his cell phone alarm to remind 3 times a day to take pills to keep his body, as all transplanted, from refusing the donated organ. He now has a wife and a 2 year old baby boy. Also is involved in LKMF contacting people from his town that ask for support. He wants to learn English.

A transplant procedure also unites families. When they volunteer to be tested as possible donors: Solidarity grows.
On behalf of generous people that expose themselves and donate their kidneys in order to save their beloved ones life,
We thank you for your worthy financial support.
2022 was prevention time.
